What is Men's Cricket World Cup League-2?
The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 is a crucial part of the qualification process for the 2027 ODI World Cup, which will be hosted by South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe next year. World Cup League 2 is an eight-team league that runs for approximately three years, with the top four teams qualifying for the 10-team World Cup Qualifiers. Matches involving Nepal, Oman, and the UAE were scheduled to begin on March 10th, but the current situation in the Middle East has prevented this series from taking place. The next round of League 2 will be played in early April, featuring Scotland, Oman, and Namibia.
The deteriorating situation in the Middle East has also affected other sports. Recently, Indian badminton star PV Sindhu was stranded in Dubai. She has now returned to India, but was unable to participate in the All England Championships.
