In view of the upcoming festivals in Ghaziabad, the district administration has taken strict measures to maintain law and order. The administration has imposed Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS) until February 16. This decision was taken to ensure the peaceful conduct of important events such as Republic Day, Guru Ravidas Jayanti, and Mahashivratri.
Under Section 163, gatherings of four or more people will be prohibited in the district. Additionally, protests, rallies, processions, or public gatherings will not be permitted. The administration says this precautionary measure is necessary due to the potential for anti-social elements to disrupt the atmosphere during these events.
Strict action will be taken against those flying drones without permission.
According to the order, individuals whose activities are likely to disturb law and order have been barred from entering colonies and sensitive areas. Police have been instructed to maintain special surveillance on such individuals. Furthermore, police patrols have been increased in all police station areas of the district, and intelligence agencies have been activated. Further strengthening security, drone flying within a one-kilometer radius of government offices has been completely banned. Strict action will be taken against those who fly drones without permission. The administration has clarified that any attempt to spread rumors or disrupt peace will not be tolerated.
Appeal to the general public to follow the rules
The police and administration are on full alert mode, and the general public has been asked to follow the rules and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police, so that the festival can be celebrated in a peaceful and safe environment.
