Sawan 2025: Along with worship and fasting, Sawan is also a good opportunity to connect children with religious customs. Involve children in Shiva worship at this time. This will develop spiritual and religious qualities in them.

Childhood is such a time when you can develop good values in your child by providing them with good education and knowledge, along with involving them in religious activities. Therefore, you must involve him in things like worship and rituals so that you can tell the children about religious customs, love for nature, faith and tradition of Indian culture.
The holy month of Sawan is going on. The month of Sawan is a symbol of faith and devotion. Along with this, activities like Shiv Poojan fast and rituals also take place in this month. Young children may not keep fasts, but in Sawan you can develop religious qualities in them by involving them in some work. Because children are able to connect with anything only when they are given responsibility. Let us know which work should be done by children in Sawan.
Get your children to do these tasks in the month of Saavan
Involve them in the preparation of the Puja- Preparations for the Puja are done before the worship of Lord Shiva in the month of Saavan. While doing this work, involve your children in it as well. In between, also give them information about the things related to the Puja. Ask the children to bring Belpatra, water in the Kalash, flowers etc. Make them make auspicious symbols like Trishul or Om on the Belpatra. This will also help them learn about things related to nature and will also lead to religious and spiritual development.
Take your child to the temple- When you go to the temple for worship, take your child along with you. Or if you are doing the puja at home, then include the child in it as well. Ask the child to offer water to the Shivling and make him aware of the method of worship. When family members worship together, it also increases family unity.
Include mantras and bhajans- Young children are not fully capable of chanting bhajans or mantras. But you can teach them simple mantras like Om Namah Shivaya . Ask them to ring the bell when performing aarti or ask them to clap while listening to bhajans. These activities will not only develop spiritual qualities in the child, but they will also experience joy.
Tell Bhajans or mythological stories- In the month of Sawan, you should tell stories of Lord Shiva to children. Children love to listen to stories. In the month of Sawan, while putting children to sleep or in your free time, you can tell them short stories of Shiva, Ganesha or the Shiva family. This will increase the vocabulary of children. Along with this, religious and mythological knowledge will also increase.
