People whose money is stuck in Sahara schemes now have another opportunity to recover it. The government has reopened the resubmission option on the refund portal, allowing eligible depositors to correct errors in their earlier claims and apply again for refunds of up to ₹10 lakh.
This process is being carried out through the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal, which was launched to help investors recover funds deposited in Sahara cooperative societies.
Who Should Apply Again?
If you had already submitted a claim but:
- Your application showed deficiencies, or
- You received a message that payment could not be processed,
then you can now resubmit your claim after correcting the issues.
Depositors are advised to carefully review the deficiencies mentioned in the portal and upload the correct details before submitting the application again.
Claims Up to ₹10 Lakh Being Processed
According to the latest update:
- Resubmission is currently open for claims up to ₹10 lakh.
- Once a corrected claim is submitted, it will be processed within 45 working days.
- The entire process is digital and designed to ensure transparency.
Authorities have opened the resubmission portal gradually to manage traffic and ensure smooth processing for applicants.
Payments Processed So Far
Applications already submitted on the portal have been reviewed, and payments of up to ₹50,000 have been released to eligible depositors whose claims were successfully verified.
However, many claims could not be approved because of missing or incorrect information. Those applicants received notifications through the portal explaining the issues. The resubmission facility has been introduced specifically so that such depositors can correct mistakes and apply again.
Important Instructions for Depositors
Investors should keep the following points in mind while resubmitting their claims:
- Correct all deficiencies mentioned in your earlier application.
- Submit claims related to all four Sahara cooperative societies, if applicable.
- Ensure documents and details are accurate before uploading.
- Only applications submitted online through the portal will be accepted.
