PM Modi Japan Visit: PM Modi's last visit to Japan for the annual summit was in 2018. Earlier, he went to Hiroshima in 2023.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Japan, where he will participate in various programs. During this special visit, on Friday (August 29, 2025), Japanese citizens welcomed him in a unique way. In Tokyo, the Japanese greeted PM Modi by chanting the Gayatri Mantra with folded hands, a video of which has also surfaced.
This scene not only shows Japan's respect for Indian culture but also strengthens the cultural ties between the two countries. Prime Minister Modi seemed very impressed by this welcome. He was mesmerized by the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra and after this he thanked the Japanese citizens with folded hands.
PM Modi was welcomed with Indian classical dance.
Japanese people were in their traditional attire Kimono, which made this welcome more special. PM described this emotional moment as memorable and said that it is a symbol of India-Japan friendship. Earlier, PM Modi was also welcomed with Indian classical dance on reaching the hotel in Tokyo.
A grand event was organized to welcome him at the hotel, in which Japanese artists gave a wonderful performance of Indian dance. During this, the flags of both the countries were waved and the atmosphere was festive. PM Modi praised this effort and said that he is proud to see so much love for Indian culture in Japan.

PM Modi will meet with the Prime Minister of Japan.
During the two-day visit, PM Modi will meet with the Prime Minister of Japan and investment, technology and defense cooperation between the two countries will be discussed. This visit of the PM is expected to bring new energy in the relations between the two countries.
PM Modi's last visit to Japan for the annual summit was in 2018. Earlier, he went to Hiroshima in 2023, but then he participated in the G-7 summit. Before that, in 2019, he attended the G-20 conference in Osaka.
