RugOne has unveiled its new Xsnap 7 Pro at IFA 2026 in Berlin. This is a unique smartphone that features a modular action camera that can be used separately from the phone. RugOne's Xsnap 7 camera module weighs just 39 grams and attaches directly to the phone using magnets. If needed, it can also be detached from the phone and used as a camera. The company says that this will redefine the mobile photography experience.
How will the Action Camera be separated from the phone?
The RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro's most notable feature is its Magnetic Camera Module. Weighing approximately 39 grams, this small module can be easily detached from the phone. It can also be mounted on a helmet, bike, or other gear. The company touts it as an all-weather, all-terrain imaging system. The camera can operate up to 5 meters underwater without any additional casing.
This camera can record video up to 2.7K at 30fps. It offers a 133-degree field of view. It also offers features like SteadyX Stabilization, Horizon Lock, Timelapse, and HDR Photo. However, it doesn't support RAW files, and video is recorded in MP4 format.
The camera will run separately for 40 minutes
The Xsnap 7 Camera Module features 64GB of built-in storage. It can operate for approximately 40 minutes without the phone, and can be recharged from the phone itself when needed. Additionally, the camera can be remotely controlled from up to 50 meters using the Xsnap Go app.
Powerful features even in a rugged smartphone
The Xsnap 7 Pro features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 5G chipset and offers 512GB of storage. The phone can survive 2 meters of water for up to 30 minutes and is designed to withstand drops from a height of 1.5 meters. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
50MP and 64MP camera setup
The phone features a 50MP main camera with a Samsung GN9 sensor. It also has a 64MP infrared night vision camera with an OV64B1B sensor. The phone runs on Android 16 and includes Google Gemini AI along with RugOne's own AI tools.
