Torrential rains are wreaking havoc on people in many states across the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for nearly twenty states, including Rajasthan, today. A landslide warning has also been issued in hilly states.

The Meteorological Department has issued a torrential rain alert for Rajasthan, as well as states like West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Kerala, and Odisha. Monsoon is expected to remain active in most parts of Rajasthan for the next four to five days. During this time, heavy to very heavy rainfall is possible in isolated pockets of eastern and southeastern regions.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert today, July 26, for rainfall activities in most parts of Kota, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions, with heavy rainfall at some places and very heavy rainfall at one or two places.

Yellow alert issued for these districts of Rajasthan:
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in about one and a half dozen districts of Rajasthan. The department has issued a yellow alert in Ajmer, Nagaur, Jaipur, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur, Khairthal-Tijara, Daus Bundi, Kota, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Pali, Baran, Jhalawar, Udaipur and Sirohi districts and adjoining areas. In the last 24 hours, torrential rain has wreaked havoc on the people in Dholpur, Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Baran districts of eastern Rajasthan. Due to this, people have had to face many kinds of problems.
