"Jone din jail se aaye, maar ke dher kar di to, kutta ke bartan me khana kha"-who did Atiq threaten openly after the death of his son Asad?

If I don't kill him the day he comes back from jail, he will have to eat food in a dog's bowl instead of a moustache... These are the words of former MP and notorious mafia Atiq Ahmed. He had given this open threat two days before his death and after the encounter of his son Asad. Senior journalist and writer Manoj Ranjan Tripathi has revealed many secrets related to the murder of Atiq Ahmed, in which he has mentioned this.

Manoj Ranjan Tripathi has written a book on Atiq Ahmed, named Kasari Masari. The book describes the 54 days from Sabarmati Jail to his coming to Uttar Pradesh and his murder, how he was murdered, who planned it, who got him killed, where did the weapons come from. Atiq's elder son was an accused in the Umesh Pal murder case. Umesh Pal was a witness in the BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case, Raju Pal was shot dead in broad daylight in 2005. Asad Ahmed's pictures firing during Umesh Pal's murder were captured in CCTV. Atiq and his brother Ashraf Ahmed were accused in the Raju Pal murder case. Atiq's name also came up in the planning of the Umesh Pal murder case.

Manoj Ranjan Tripathi says that Atiq Ahmed was very upset with Asad's encounter and he had threatened on Face Time. He told that first he tried his best to save his son Asad Ahmed by making him surrender, not killing him. This matter even reached some big places that let's make him surrender, it will be seen later, but no, giving a message was a bigger thing.

After Asad's encounter, Atiq had openly threatened, 'Atiq is alive, he will not stay in jail for life, the day he comes out of jail, he will take care of the government and the big leaders of the government. He had given this threat on Face Time. He did not talk to the government, but his words were recorded.' Manoj Ranjan Tripathi told that Atiq had said, 'Atiq will come, governments will change, people will change and Atiq will come and see then. Atiq had said in his language - what are you thinking, Atiq will remain in jail all his life, whatever day comes, Atiq, if I do not kill him that day, then my name will not be Atiq Ahmed, I will not have a moustache, I will eat food in a dog's bowl.'

Asad Ahmed and a shooter Ghulam Mohammad were wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case. On April 13, 2023, both of them had an encounter near Parichha Dam in Jhansi. The police had said that an attempt was made to capture both of them alive, but they started firing and the police had to open fire in response. Two days later, on April 15, 2023, Atiq and Ashraf were shot by three boys near Colvin Hospital in Prayagraj. At that time both the brothers were being taken for medical examination.
