Instead of throwing the Jitiya thread here and there, you should immerse it in a holy river or pond. If there is a well at home, you can throw it in it as well. By doing this, the blessings of Jimutvahan deity remain and the children are protected.

Apart from this, you can also keep the thread under a Tulsi or Peepal tree. Because both these plants are considered holy. If it is not possible to flow it in the river, then you can keep the Jitiya thread in this way.

If mothers do not want to take the Jitiya thread anywhere outside, then you can keep the thread in the prayer room as well. This also keeps the blessings of the mother on the children.
