ICC T20I rankings: Ishan Kishan number-1

ICC T20I Rankings, Ishan Kishan on Top: Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan has achieved the number one position in the T20I rankings. The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the latest rankings on Wednesday (July 1), in which Ishan Kishan appeared at the top within the T20Is.

Ishan Sharma has snatched the number one spot from fellow player Abhishek Sharma, who has now slipped to second. Ishan's rating has risen to 876, while Abhishek's is 869. Pakistan batsman Sahibzada Farhan is also in the top rankings, occupying the third spot with a rating of 848. However, his position remains unchanged in the latest rankings.

Moving forward, England's Phil Salt is fourth with a rating of 792, and Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka is fifth with a rating of 751. Thus, the top five in the rankings include two players from India, one from Pakistan, one from England, and one from Sri Lanka.

Suryakumar Yadav suffered a loss.

Suryakumar Yadav, who was previously ranked seventh, has slipped to eighth. With the loss of captaincy, Surya has also been removed from Team India. There seems to be little hope for his return to the team. There are four Indian batsmen in the top 10, including sixth-ranked Tilak Varma.

Indian players suffered losses in bowling rankings.

Looking at the T20 bowling rankings, Indian players have also suffered losses. Varun Chakravarthy, the only Indian bowler currently in the top five, has slipped one spot to third. Varun's rating is now 725. Meanwhile, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, previously ranked fifth , has slipped to sixth. Bumrah's rating is 688. Varun and Bumrah are the only two Indians in the top 10 in the bowling rankings.
