Differences within Iran, India refuses to pay tolls
According to sources, differences have emerged between Iran's diplomatic mission in India and the IRGC over the incident. The IRGC is reportedly planning to impose tolls on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, but India has flatly refused to pay any such tolls.

Iranian warship docked in Kochi and tensions rising
This incident comes at a time when the Iranian warship IRIS Lavan is currently moored at the Kochi port in India. Approximately 120 of the ship's 183 crew members have been repatriated, while a few essential personnel remain to maintain the ship. Previously, the IRIS Dena was sunk by a US submarine off Sri Lanka on March 4th.

Firing near Oman, ships forced to return
The two Indian ships, carrying millions of barrels of crude oil, came under fire from the Iranian Navy north of Oman. Following the attack, they were forced to return through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran had previously stated that ships from countries not involved in conflict with the US and Israel would not be targeted.

India 's Ministry of External Affairs has lodged a strong protest following the incident. Summoning Iran's ambassador in New Delhi, India, expressed its displeasure and called the action unacceptable.
