Tipster Abhishek Yadav claims that Apple has informed iPlanet dealers that the starting price of the iPhone 17 could increase to ₹94,990 starting in the first week of August. This model currently sells for ₹82,900, meaning the price could increase by ₹12,000. However, this has not yet been confirmed by Apple. Similarly, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are also expected to see similar price increases. These prices have risen due to increased storage and memory chips, making them more expensive for companies to manufacture. Companies are increasing phone prices to cover their costs. iPhones have already become more expensive in Japan, and now there are speculations that the same will happen in India.
Stock shortage due to rapid sales
Since Apple increased the prices of its other products, sales of the iPhone 17 have increased. Anticipating the potential price hike, people are buying this iPhone in droves, even without discounts. Demand surged both online and in offline stores, leading to depletion of stock. Now, Apple has announced that new iPhone stock will arrive by next weekend.
