In this video, the doctor explains that gray hair is not just a sign of aging. Many other reasons, such as lack of nutrition, stress, hormonal imbalance, and oxidative damage can also be responsible for this. Especially 'copper deficiency' i.e. lack of copper in the body is becoming a major reason for this problem.
How does copper deficiency affect?
Dr. Arul explains, when we remain under mental stress for a long time, the level of copper in the body starts falling. Copper is a mineral that helps in maintaining the color (pigment) in the hair. Due to its deficiency, hair starts turning gray quickly. This is the reason why this problem is increasing rapidly among the youth these days.
How to prevent hair from turning grey?
Dr. Yokesh said that if you want to prevent premature graying of hair, then first of all pay attention to your diet. Especially start consuming things rich in copper.
Eat almonds and mushrooms.
Both these things are good sources of copper. Include them in your daily diet.
Increase your intake of vitamin D and vitamin B12
Deficiency of vitamin D and vitamin B12 also damages hair. For this, you can eat foods like eggs, cheese, milk, and curd.
