The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important advisory for candidates applying for JEE Main 2027 (Session 1). The NTA has advised students to ensure they complete their Aadhaar re-KYC process through DigiLocker before proceeding with the online registration form. This advisory is intended to prevent any issues related to identity verification or biometric data—both during the application process and in the stages following the examination. The online application process for JEE Main 2027 (Session 1) is currently underway on the official website.
Important Guidelines Issued by the NTA
The agency has instructed candidates to use only their own personal DigiLocker, Jan Parichay, or e-Praman login accounts when applying. Do not use the login credentials of another individual or those belonging to a cyber café. Furthermore, the candidate's name and date of birth as entered in the application form must exactly match the details recorded on their Class 10 certificate. Any discrepancies could lead to difficulties during the verification process. Additionally, candidates should complete the Aadhaar-based re-KYC on DigiLocker before filling out the form, ensuring the system has access to the most up-to-date information and biometric data.
How to Complete Aadhaar Re-KYC on DigiLocker?
To complete the Aadhaar-based re-KYC, log in to your DigiLocker account.
Navigate to the 'Documents' section.
Locate your Aadhaar card within the list of issued documents. Next, click on the three dots next to the Aadhaar document and select 'Refresh'.
Read the consent provided on the screen and grant permission for Aadhaar authentication.
Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar.
Wait for the authentication process to be completed.
After this, refresh other documents as well, if necessary.
When will the exam take place?
According to the schedule released by the NTA, JEE Main 2027 will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will be held in January 2027, while the second session will take place in April 2027. The online application process for the JEE Main 2027 examination has begun. The deadline for applications is November 22, 2026. Following this, the NTA will open a correction window for JEE Main forms from November 27 to November 29. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
