Despite the huge jump in the price of crude oil, the price of gold and silver has increased today. The price of crude oil has increased due to the increasing crisis in West Asia. This has increased the demand for dollar but there has been a slight decline in the dollar index. This has increased the price of gold and silver. In the early trading on MCX, the price of gold has increased by more than Rs 700 while the price of silver has jumped by more than Rs 4,000.
Gold for delivery on MCX on August 5 closed at Rs 1,40,906 per 10 grams in the previous session. Today it opened at Rs 141649. In early trade it rose by Rs 743 to reach Rs 1,41,649. Similarly, silver for September 4 closed at Rs 2,16,403 per kg and opened today at Rs 2,19,199. In early trade it rose to Rs 2,20,408.
Bullion Price:
The price of gold has also increased in the bullion market. According to Good Returns, in the early trade, 24 carat gold is trading at Rs 143460 with a rise of Rs 170. The price of 22 carat gold has increased by Rs 150 and is at Rs 1,31,500 per 10 grams. 18 carat gold has increased by Rs 120 and reached Rs 1,07,590. Silver is also trading at Rs 2,35,000, up by Rs 5,000.
