Gold and Silver Price, April 20: Gold and silver prices fell on the MCX on April 20. Gold fell by about ₹1,600, while silver also saw a significant decline.

Gold and silver prices hit a brake

Gold and Silver Price Today Live: Gold and silver prices are trading lower in the domestic futures market on Monday, April 20th. Both precious metals fell at the start of trading. At the time of writing, gold futures with a June 5, 2026, expiry were trading down by approximately ₹1,600 on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX).

Gold futures on MCX opened at Rs 1,53,158 per 10 grams. On the last trading day, gold closed at Rs 1,54,609 on MCX.

At around 10:05 am, gold futures were trading down 1.03 percent at ₹1,53,018. Gold futures had reached a high of ₹1,53,251 in early trade. Let's find out what the prices of these precious metals are in your city today.

Silver price

Silver, with a May 5, 2026 expiry date, is trading down 1.99 percent, or ₹5,110, on the MCX exchange. Silver opened the trading day at ₹253,453. The intraday high was ₹254,089.

In Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata, 10 grams of silver is selling for ₹2,750 today. Customers will have to pay ₹27,500 to buy 100 grams of silver. In Chennai, the price of 10 grams of silver is ₹2,800.
