In the second Test against England at Lord's, Pakistan managed just 110 runs in their first innings. England had previously defeated Pakistan by an innings and 103 runs in the first Test. In that match, Pakistan managed only 171 runs in the first innings and 135 runs in the second. Meanwhile, former England captain Michael Vaughan has strongly criticized Pakistan's batting, comparing it to "second-division county cricket."

Michael Vaughan praised England's bowlers, saying, "This is a good attack, and it has a lot of potential. I think they can all improve. When you have four bowlers bowling well, it's a very good sign for English cricket. There's still a lot more to come."

Vaughan said, "I'll be completely honest. The England bowlers aren't facing any challenges at all. The Pakistan batting line-up is probably the easiest batting line-up. I think as a bowler, they're all lining up to bowl. They know the wickets are there. Ollie Robinson, Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue destroyed the Pakistan batting line-up."

The former England captain further said, "I think they all know that Pakistan will not score big, so you will only be on the field for 40 to 50 overs, so you will give your all in every spell. You will go to Joe Root and say, hey, I will bowl one more ball. There are plenty of wickets there."

He said, "It's very simple. They're still doing well, and they still look very dangerous. I think this bowling attack, the way they're bowling, will challenge better batting lineups if they continue like this. But this is Pakistan's batting. Is this second-division county cricket? Their batting doesn't look like a Test match batting lineup."
