e-Mitra WhatsApp Service: The Rajasthan government has provided significant relief to the people of the state. Now, citizens will no longer have to visit government offices or e-Mitra centers to obtain caste certificates, domicile certificates, EWS certificates, or to pay electricity and water bills. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched the new e-Mitra WhatsApp service on July 1, 2026, at a major e-governance event. This step is a major effort towards making Rajasthan a digital state, with the aim of ensuring that people can easily access government services from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need to waste time standing in line at offices.

27 services will be available by sending a message on WhatsApp number

The most significant feature of this new facility is that it doesn't require downloading a separate app. The government has released an official WhatsApp number for this purpose, 94610-62705. Any citizen of the state can avail of 27 essential government services by simply sending a message to this number from their mobile phone. This includes obtaining essential documents like caste, domicile, and income certificates, as well as everyday services like paying electricity and water bills. Previously, people had to visit e-Mitra centers or government offices for all these tasks, which was time-consuming and labor-intensive.

The scope of facilities will increase further in the coming time.

Currently, over 600 services are already being provided through e-Mitra in Rajasthan. The government plans to bring 100 of these most essential services to the WhatsApp platform in the first phase next year, allowing people to complete even more tasks through mobile. The government is also preparing to appoint 25,000 young men and women as "mini e-Mitras," who will go door-to-door to deliver government services to people through mobile. Furthermore, a new IT policy will be introduced in the state to further strengthen digital governance and encourage greater IT investment.
