If your vehicle runs on diesel, be aware that private fuel companies have set a limit on the amount of diesel you can purchase at petrol pumps. This means that customers will not be able to purchase the amount of diesel they need.

Diesel sales banned, petrol pumps run out of stock.
Petrol and diesel prices in the country have fluctuated for some time now, due to supply disruptions caused by ongoing tensions in the Middle East. If your vehicle uses diesel, this information is important for you, as you can now purchase diesel at petrol pumps only within a set limit. Previously, customers would purchase diesel at petrol pumps based on their needs, but now some private fuel companies have imposed limits on the amount of diesel they can purchase. It's important to understand the reason behind this.
Actually, private fuel companies Naryan Energy and Jio-bp have fixed the limit for buying diesel at their petrol pumps, the reason behind which is the huge difference in the prices of diesel.
Diesel stock reduced
Due to the low prices of diesel, even large customers are purchasing diesel in larger quantities from retail petrol pumps. This is now leading to a depletion of diesel stocks at petrol pumps. The question is, how did the difference in bulk and retail diesel prices arise?
Why is there a difference in bulk and retail diesel prices?
- The biggest reason for this issue is the difference in the prices of diesel available to petrol pumps and bulk customers.
- The price of crude oil in the international market has also reached around $108 per barrel.
- Despite this, there has been no increase in fuel prices at retail petrol pumps since May.
- Along with this, diesel prices for bulk and industrial customers are being decided according to the international market.
How much difference did it make?
It's worth noting that a difference has been observed between retail and bulk diesel prices, reportedly around ₹40 per liter. This is why large customers are flocking to retail pumps to purchase cheaper diesel, and because of the lower prices, they are purchasing a significant portion of their needs from retail pumps, which is putting pressure on diesel stocks to deplete rapidly. This is why, due to the increased demand, Jio-BP and Nayara Energy have set diesel purchase limits at their retail pumps.
How much diesel will be available in a day?
According to reports, Nayara Energy has set diesel purchase limits at its outlets, allowing a customer to purchase a maximum of 70 liters to 200 liters per day. Meanwhile, Jio-bp petrol pumps have also limited the amount of diesel a customer can purchase per day to 50 liters.
