Just as E20 has arrived on the market, B5 is also expected to arrive by 2020.

What percentage of adulteration will there be?
In fact, after E-20, the government is preparing to introduce B-5 fuel soon. This will be adulterated diesel. Just as E-20 petrol was created by adding 20 percent ethanol to petrol, B-5 ​​diesel will be created by adding 5 percent biotin to 95 percent diesel. The government says it can be used without any engine modifications.

How will biodiesel be made?
According to information provided by Indian Oil, this diesel will be produced from jatropha and karanjia. These are both vegetable oils that cannot be used for food or drink. Therefore, using them will allow for the production of high-quality biodiesel. The government has already successfully produced biodiesel and tested it. With the help of Haryana Roadways, Railways, and Tata, extensive testing has been conducted using 5 to 10 percent of the oil.

Pollution will be controlled.
The objective of producing this biodiesel is the same as the government's goal for E-20. The government believes that dependence on other countries for oil is not right. In such a situation, domestic production is more appropriate. Furthermore, this fuel will also help control pollution. The E-20 target has been achieved ahead of schedule. Consequently, the government also plans to introduce biodiesel by 2030.
