Kamaltai Gavai, mother of CJI B.R. Gavai, said that no one has the right to take the law into their own hands and create chaos. Everyone should resolve their issues peacefully and through constitutional means.

Chief Justice Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai's mother, Kamaltai Gavai, and sister, Kirti Arjun Gavai, have strongly protested the shoe-throwing incident. Kamaltai Gavai stated that no one has the right to take the law into their own hands and create chaos.
Kamaltai Gawai said, "The Constitution given by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is based on the principle of 'Live and let others live.' No one has the right to take the law into their own hands and create chaos. Everyone should resolve their issues peacefully and through constitutional means."
Kirti Gavai, sister of CJI B.R. Gavai, also reacted strongly to the incident. She said, "Yesterday's incident is a disgrace to the nation and condemnable. This is not just a personal attack, but a toxic ideology that must be stopped. Those engaging in unconstitutional behavior must be prosecuted. We must protest at the constitutional level and in a peaceful manner so that Babasaheb's ideals are not harmed."
On October 6th, in the Supreme Court, a lawyer named Rakesh Kishore suddenly approached the bench of Chief Justice B.R. Gavai and attempted to throw a shoe. Security personnel on the scene immediately subdued him and escorted him out of the court. Eyewitnesses reported that as he left, he chanted, "Hindustan will not tolerate the insult of Sanatan Dharma." However, CJI B.R. Gavai remained calm throughout the incident and urged the lawyers not to be distracted. He stated that such things do not affect him.
Rakesh Kishore was detained for some time and then released. The Bar Council of India has revoked his license. He can no longer practice law in any court, tribunal, or jurisdiction. Rakesh Kishore also explained his reasons for this action. Speaking to news agency IANS, he described the incident as an act of God. He said, "This was not done by me, but by God making me do it. I had no intention of doing this at all."
He said, "My actions were a message I was trying to convey. CJI Gavai heard a PIL on September 16th. I don't know who filed the PIL. Who was the lawyer?"
Lawyer Rakesh Kishore claimed that the CJI insulted Sanatan Dharma during the hearing. There is a seven-foot statue of Lord Vishnu in Khajuraho, which is decapitated. When foreign invaders came to India, they attacked many Hindu temples, including this one. The statue of Lord Vishnu was damaged in the attack. I have personally visited the statue and cried. I am saddened that such a beautiful statue is missing its head. This is a matter of grief for all of us.
Rakesh Kishore said that when the demand to repair the statue was raised before the CJI, he said, "You are such a great devotee of God. You should go and tell the statue to do something, to fix itself." I did not like this comment. What saddened me even more was that the CJI rejected the petitioner's petition.
