Team India: The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is going to start from February 19 and for this the BCCI had announced the team last week. The BCCI has announced India's 15-member team for the 2025 Champions Trophy and that team includes one of the best players.
However, Mohammad Siraj was not included in this team. But now he can enter Team India. Siraj can be given a chance in the team in place of India's veteran fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.
Mohammad Siraj can enter Team India
Actually, due to Mohammad Siraj's recent performance and not being effective with the old ball, the BCCI did not give him a chance in Team India's squad for the Champions Trophy. But now he can enter the squad. He may get a chance in place of star fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah. Because according to the recent report, Jaspreet Bumrah is going to take a fair amount of time to recover from back injury.
Bumrah will not be able to get fit on time
According to the recent report, Team India's veteran fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah may take about 2-3 months to recover from back injury and due to this he may miss the Champions Trophy. In such a situation, BCCI can make Siraj a part of the Indian team again. However, Bumrah's exclusion has not been officially confirmed yet.
But all the reports that have come out so far are saying that he will not be able to get fit on time. It is known that the Champions Trophy will start on 19 February and Team India's first match will be played on the 20th.
