Two people have been arrested in connection with the assault and gang rape incident in Suryagarha village of Lakhisarai on Wednesday night. According to the police, the masked accused entered the house and demanded cigarettes. When the man refused to open the gate, they dragged his mother into the courtyard, where they allegedly assaulted and raped her. The elderly woman is said to be 65 years old.

The attackers also seriously injured the elderly person during the incident. At that time, the elderly woman along with her son and daughter-in-law were present in the house. When they did not open the gate, they broke the wall of the house and entered the house and carried out this incident.

On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigation. The accused Vishal Kumar and Saurabh Kumar have been arrested. Both are residents of the same village.

According to reports, both were under the influence of alcohol during the incident. The victim was taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Officials are continuing their investigation.
