The BCCI has announced Team India's squad for the five-match T20I series against South Africa. Vice-captain Shubman Gill has returned to the squad. He was not part of the ODI series against South Africa due to a neck injury. The team is captained by Suryakumar Yadav. The five-match T20I series between India and South Africa will be played from December 9th to December 19th.

The BCCI has announced a 15-member Indian team for the five-match T20 series starting December 9. The selectors have chosen the same team that played in the 2025 Asia Cup. Varun Chakravarthy, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav are the four spinners. Additionally, the 15-member squad includes three fast bowlers: Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshit Rana. The batting department includes captain Suryakumar Yadav, vice-captain Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dubey, Jitesh Sharma, and Sanju Samson. Jitesh and Samson are the two wicketkeepers.

The first match of the five-match T20 series between India and South Africa will be played in Cuttack on December 9. The second T20 match will be played in New Chandigarh on December 11, and the third T20 match in Dharamsala on December 14. The fourth T20 match will be played in Lucknow on December 17, and the final and fifth T20 match will be played in Ahmedabad on December 19.
