The Indian team (Team India) is going to tour Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 starting from February. Even before the start of the tournament, the BCCI refused to send its players to Pakistan, after which the ICC decided to conduct the Champions Trophy in a hybrid moffle. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced its 15-member team (Team India) for this, after which it is being said that six of these players have been dropped from the West Indies Test series.  

Indian team will play test series against West Indies 

Actually, this year Team India has to play a two-match Test series against West Indies. India will host both these matches in October. However, even before this, discussions have started about Team India for the West Indies Test series. It is being said that the Indian selectors can show the way out of the team to six players who were part of the Champions Trophy. The first name that is coming up in this regard is that of Indian captain Rohit Sharma. It is being speculated that he can also say goodbye to Test cricket after T20. 

6 players who were a part of the Champions Trophy will be dropped 

Rohit Sharma's performance in Tests has been disappointing in the recent past, after which there are reports of his retirement from this format. If he retires from Test cricket before the West Indies Test series, then Jaspreet Bumrah can be given the command of the team (Team India) in his place. Recently he played the role of captain against Australia, in which he looked amazing. Apart from Rohit Sharma, the chances of Virat Kohli being a part of the series are also very low. 

This player can get the captaincy 

Indian selectors may drop young batsmen Shubman Gill and KL Rahul from Team India to give them rest. Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh will also be dropped from the team. Young players can be given a chance in place of these two. While these six players of Champions Trophy 2025 may be out of the West Indies Test series, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar , Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kuldeep Yadav can be included in the team.
