According to experts, people who eat food rich in proteins and carbohydrates feel more lazy. He feels more tired. Protein rich foods contain an amino acid called tryptophan. It helps to produce serotonin. Serotonin corrects mood and is responsible for sleep. Serotonin calms the mind. Carbohydrates help the body in absorbing tryptophan. In such a situation, if protein and carbs are eaten then laziness and sleep are sure to occur. Especially those who eat rice feel lazy. At the same time, some people eat more food than necessary, and due to this they also experience fatigue.

Apart from this, people who are pre-diabetic or suffering from diabetes may also feel tired after eating food. Because the blood sugar level increases and the energy level starts decreasing.

Ways to avoid laziness and sleep

  • Avoid eating too much in one go.
  • Get good sleep at night.
  • Do take a walk after eating. Laziness and fatigue can be avoided by remaining physically active.
  • Do take some sunlight. Laziness also starts reducing due to this.
