India is known for its religious importance and there are many such religious journeys in which the destination is reached after facing very difficult circumstances. Amarnath Yatra is one of such difficult and big religious pilgrimages of India where Baba Barfani is seen. The Amarnath Yatra is starting from 1st July and will last for 62 days i.e. till 31st August 2023. The cave of Amarnath is located in the Himalayan mountain ranges, about 145 kilometers from Srinagar. A journey is a journey of up to 14 kilometers in J&K. Thousands of people participate in this holy journey every year for which registration has to be done in advance. If you are also going to participate in this journey, then you must take care of some of the things mentioned here as a precaution. Along with this, the Shrine Board has issued a health advisory, in which there is a ban on carrying many food and drink items during the journey, about which we are going to tell you here.
It is forbidden to carry these things during the journey
The board has banned any kind of non-veg items, dosa, puri, bhatura, stuffed parantha, fried papad, pickle, fast food, chutney, bread butter, heavy pulao, fried rice, pizza, burger, chowmein, cream made items during the journey. Has banned the carrying of sweets, as well as said that along with Gulab Jamun, Rasgulla, Halwa, and Jalebi, any kind of confectionery items will not be able to be carried. Along with chips, crisps, salty mixers, pakoras, and samosas, deep-fried items, brews, and cold drinks will also not be allowed.
These things can be taken while traveling
During the journey, the board can carry green vegetables, pulses, greens, potatoes, cereals, gram flour curry, green salad, fruits and sprouts as well as cumin rice, khichdi, or plain rice. Roti, Dal Roti, Missi Roti, Makki Ki Roti without butter or oil, Tandoori Roti, Kulcha, or Double Roti are also allowed to be taken. Uttapam, idli, sambar, poha and dhokla, vegetable momos can also be taken away. During the journey, devotees will be able to take coffee, syrup, herbal tea, lemon squash, lemonade, low-fat milk, fruit juice, soup, and mineral water to drink. Also, rice kheer, sago kheer, oatmeal, honey, roasted papad, khakhra, sesame ladoo, dhokla, gajak i.e. chikki, Verdi, makhana, puffed rice, dry petha, amla marmalade, and green coconut can be taken.
Clothing for the season
When packing for travel, keep clothes according to the weather in the bag. Find out what the Amarnath weather is like and what the weather is likely to be like during your travel dates. On this basis, enough warm clothes can be kept in the bag. Keep light warm clothes instead of heavy clothes. Avoid keeping saris or dhoti etc. in clothes, as traveling wearing these can be inconvenient. Also bring gloves, socks, and a hat. In this journey, strong cold winds will have to be faced at high altitude places. It should have enough woolen clothes, a small umbrella, windcheater, raincoat, waterproof trekking shoes, torch, walking stick, cap, gloves, jacket, woolen socks, and trousers. All these things are necessary because the weather can change anytime in these places, there can be sudden rain and snowfall in the middle of the hot sun. Not only this, the temperature can also suddenly drop to 5 degrees Celsius or below.
Take care of fitness
It is very important to take care of fitness before going on Amarnath Yatra because during the journey one has to walk on high mountains and flat and rough roads. In such a situation, if there is even a slight problem regarding fitness, then you may be in trouble. That's why before traveling, walk about 4 to 5 kilometers every day. Along with walking, do breathing exercises as well. Do not take small children, pregnant and the elderly on the journey.
Take care of the monsoon
Darshan of Baba Barfani can be done from 1st July to 30th July. The monsoon starts during this time. Keeping in mind the possibility of rain, carry an umbrella, raincoat, waterproof shoes, and a waterproof bag.
Keep essential medicines
Amarnath Yatra is considered to be the most difficult journey. Carry essential medicines such as medicine for headaches, colds, and body aches to avoid the condition of ill health during the journey. Also keep band-aids, index, move, etc.
Travel essentials
Keep water bottles, dry fruits, soft or light clothes, sports shoes, warm clothes, a first aid kit, spectacles, a torch, a mat, glucose, and your identity card, etc. with you. Carry the necessary documents with you Otherwise, you may have to repent later. You can keep light snacks to eat, which should be according to the guidelines of Amarnath Yatra. It was said in the guideline that fatty snacks, junk food, etc. are completely banned in Amarnath. That's why don't keep these things in the bag.

Yes, if you are leaving for Amarnath Yatra then you should not go alone. Try to travel in a group only. Even if something happens, your companions can help you.
