Lalbagh Botany The garden is located in Bangalore and is a nationally and internationally renowned center for botanical artifacts, the scientific study of plants, and plant conservation. Lal Bagh is spread over an area of 240 acres in the heart of the city and has about 1,854 species of plants. It was commissioned by Hyder Ali in 1760 and completed by his son Tipu Sultan. The garden contains rare plants of French, Persian, and Afghan origin and has the status of Government Botanical Garden. Lal Bagh Rock which is more than 3000 million years old is a major attraction. Valley of Flowers, Chamoli
Valley of Flowers is one of the best gardens in the country. The name of this valley is Alpine Valley and it was discovered by mountaineer Frank S. Smith in 1937. This garden with alpine trees is considered a World Heritage Site. This 8-kilometer-long and 2-kilometer-wide garden was declared a National Park in 1982.
