World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5 June. This day is celebrated to make people aware of environmental protection. India is popular for its natural beauty. Tourists reach this country full of hills, beaches, waterfalls, and lakes in every season.

It is very hot in June, in this season people are going to visit the famous tourist places of the country. However, due to the arrival of more tourists, the beauty of natural tourist places is becoming unclean. Travelers reach many places and knowingly or unknowingly contaminate that place. Due to increasing pollution, the beauty of these natural places is not only spoiled, but many other natural problems also occur.

On the occasion of Environment Day, if you are on a trip to a hill station or other places, then to keep the environment protected and safe, travelers should take special care of some things during the journey. Here are the ways to conserve environmental tourist places.

Prevent rivers and lakes from getting polluted
If you are traveling to a place where there are rivers, lakes, or waterfalls, then take special care of cleanliness while visiting them. If you are enjoying boating in a lake or have gone to take a bath in a waterfall, then do not throw plastic, polythene, or other items there. In this way, lakes and waterfalls can be kept clean, and aquatic life can be saved from harm.

Do not leave garbage
When people go for trekking and camping in a national park or lush green hills, they leave garbage there. They carry food items in plastic or polythene and leave them in the open. This spreads dirt and also poses a threat to the animals of the park.

Pollution from vehicles
During peak season, people reach hill stations like Shimla-Manali by road. Due to more tourists, the traffic system gets affected here and vehicles stuck in traffic for hours spread pollution. Air gets polluted due to diesel and petrol, which spoils the pure atmosphere of environmental sites. For a clean and pure environment, travel by train when visiting an environmental tourist destination, and also pay attention to the quality of the trains.

Do not harm animals
Small animals are found in gardens, forests, or any environmental sites, which are the center of attraction among tourists. However, travelers harm animals for their fun. Smugglers or criminals hunt animals like deer. This also harms the environment. If you go to such a place, do not do anything that harms animals.
