After the opening of the doors of Chardham situated in Uttarakhand, there is a flood of devotees in the temples. During this time, pilgrims participating in the Chardham Yatra have to stand in long queues and wait for hours for darshan. In such a situation, many devotees are returning without completing the journey while some tourists are facing trouble for darshan. Seeing the crowd, the administration had closed the registration for two days. Offline registrations were closed for May 15 and 16. Also, due to chaos and trouble, the devotees were stopped midway. VIP darshan was banned and videography was also banned at some distance from the temple premises to avoid crowd of devotees gathering at the shrine to take photographs. To avoid inconvenience and trouble due to crowds during Chardham Yatra, pilgrims should take special care of some things.

Due to the huge crowd for Chardham Yatra, the traffic system in Uttarakhand is coming to a standstill, due to which the pilgrims coming for two or three days are returning without completing the entire journey.
Hotel rooms are not available due to tourists. In such a situation, passengers are not able to get facilities to stay or spend the night.
When to go on Chardham Yatra
Seeing the kind of pictures of the crowd emerging during the Chardham Yatra, there will be a question in the minds of the devotees what is the right time to go on the Chardham Yatra? If you want to avoid the crowd then do not plan Chardham Yatra for some time. You can plan to go to Chardham Yatra in July or October. For this, register only after seeing the crowd.
Where to stay during Chardham Yatra
The administration is facing problems due to the increase in crowds during the Chardham Yatra. Almost all the hotels from Dehradun, Rishikesh to Badrinath Temple, Kedarnath Temple, Yamunotri, and Gangotri are booked. Travelers are unable to find a place to spend the night. In such a situation, the administration has made arrangements for hangars and tents in the transit camp for the pilgrims living in Rishikesh. Besides, arrangements have been made for the pilgrims to stay in Dharamshalas, schools, and wedding points. Arrangements for food are also being made.

Registration has to be done for Chardham Yatra. Due to the crowd, offline registration was closed for two days. However, if you want to go for darshan then first register from the official website. Apart from this, go on the journey only after booking a helicopter service in advance.
