Voice is heard from the statue
If you listen to the idol of Lord Balaji in the courtyard of the temple, then you will hear the sound of the huge ocean flowing from that idol. Which in itself is quite surprising. Sandal paste is applied on Thursday
Mother Lakshmi resides in the heart of Lord Balaji. The presence of the mother is known only when Balaji is bathed and sandalwood paste is applied every Thursday after removing all the makeup of the Balaji. When the sandalwood paste is removed, the image of Goddess Lakshmi emerges from the sandalwood paste on the heart.
