Sangestar Lake is situated at an altitude of 15,200 feet above sea level. What is even more interesting is that this lake was formed due to an earthquake. How to reach:
This lake is located near the India-China border. To visit this lake you will have to take permission from the Deputy Commissioner. If you are in Tawang, it takes about 2 hours to reach the lake. Please note that only Indian citizens are allowed to visit this lake. The surroundings of the lake are enchanting, which rivals the beauty of the Himalayas. The lake is surrounded by pine trees and when the hills around the lake are reflected on its surface, the view becomes even more enchanting.
