Usually, Durga Puja starts on the sixth day of Sharadiya Navratri. Durga Puja is celebrated till Vijayadashami, after which the idol of Goddess Durga is immersed. The most important time of Durga Puja is celebrated on the days of Maha Ashtami and Mahanavami.
