Located 95 km from Patna, the capital city of Bihar, Nalanda University was a world-renowned center of learning during the reign of the Gupta Empire and later became Kinvardhan during the reign of Harshavardhana. It is inspired by the highly organized methods of Vedic education, which was attended by many scholars from different regions including China, Korea, Central Asia, and Tibet, but was destroyed by the Muslim army in the 12th century CE.

Hampi Temple in Hampi

Located in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, the Khajuraho Group of Monuments is a vast complex of Jain and Hindu temples. These monuments were built by the rulers of the Chandela dynasty in the 9th century. The place is famous for Nagara architecture and erotic sculptures. The site had about 85 temples by the 12th century, of which only 20 remain. The group of temples honors both the Hindu and Jain traditions.

Victoria Memorial in Kolkata
A relic of the British Raj in India, this palace in Kolkata is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria. The architecture of the palace is a mixture of British, Mughal, Egyptian, and Islamic elements. After seeing the palace, you can also roam in the garden.
