Okuma Lake, Japan
Okuma Lake in Mount Jao in Japan is also known as the Pond of Five Colours. This lake was formed by the eruption of a volcano in 1720. The color of the lake is teal (somewhat blue), but its color varies. The color changes from bright green to dark blue to gray. It is a popular tourist attraction, but it is safer to see the lake from an airplane.

Cano Cristals, Colombia
Due to the lack of nutrients and small particles in the water of this river, known as the Rainbow River, its water is very clear. Due to water plants, its color varies from red, white, black, and blue to yellow.

Laguna Colorado, Bolivia
Generally, you would have seen blue-colored lakes, but in Bolivia, there is a lake called Laguna Colorado which is red. Its red color is due to the microorganisms and algae living in it. This lake is worth seeing. This lake, three feet deep, has a lot of salt, and depending on the activities of microorganisms, its color sometimes appears red and sometimes orange.

Five Flower Lake, China
Five Flower Lake is a beautiful attraction of Jiuzhaigoan National Park in China. Situated at an altitude of 2742, this lake is of turquoise color. The bottom of the lake is covered with tree trunks and its crystals are visible in the water. This lake with five flowers is also known as Wuhua Hai.

Lake Natron, Tanzania
This saltwater lake evaporates quickly due to the hot climate and leaves behind the salt. Microorganisms thrive in these salty conditions, which gives the water its red color.

Chott El Djerid, Tunisia
This salt lake is located in Tunisia in the Sahara Desert. It is a seasonal lake, which remains dry for most of the year. The color of the water varies from light green to light pink and orange.
