Siri Fort
The name of Siri Fort is derived from the word 'Sir'. According to historical stories, Alauddin Khilji buried the heads of more than 8000 Mongol soldiers in its foundation while building Siri Fort. After which it came to be known as Siri Fort. The fort initially included the palace and several other structures, but today most of it is in ruin except for the bastion, ramparts, and the southeast gate. The fort still reminds tourists about the palaces that were once located here, with jewels and precious stones inscribed in them. The entire Siri city was the second city of Delhi and today parts of the ruined city can be seen inside the fort.

Qila Rai Pithora
The fort was built by Prithviraj Chauhan, also known as Rai Pithora. The fort has 7 gates – Sohna, Ranjit, Ghazni, Hauz Rani, Buduan and Maya. The fort was ruled by the Tomar, Chauhan, and Ghulam dynasties in the 12th and 13th centuries. There are also statues of Prithviraj Chauhan in the fort. There used to be a Sun temple at Sohna Gate and 27 Hindu and Jain temples inside the fort.
