There is a belief in the Triyuginarayan Temple of Uttarakhand that the life of the couple getting married here gets better. The marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati took place in this temple. Even today, the signs of their marriage are present here. One of the mythological temples, this temple is located in Triyuginarayan village of Uttarakhand. This village is a part of Rudraprayag district. A special feature of this temple is the fire burning inside the temple which has been burning here for centuries. It is believed that Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married with this fire as their witness. Hence the name of this place became Triyugi which means the fire that has been burning here for three yugas. As it is situated in Agni Narayan Temple, hence the whole is called Triyuginarayan Temple.
Vishnuji became Parvati's brother in the marriage of Shiva and Parvati.
There is a religious belief that in the marriage of Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu played the role of Mother Parvati's brother, and all the rituals performed by the brother in the sister's marriage were completed by Lord Vishnu. It is said about the pond located in this temple that Lord Vishnu had taken a bath in this pond before performing the marriage ceremony.
Shivaji's love proposal
It is believed that today's Guptkashi, which is the way to Kedarnath, is the same place where Lord Shiva proposed his love to Goddess Parvati. Guptkashi is situated on the banks of river Mandakini. Finally, the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati was completed in the capital Triyuginarayan with the guidance of King Himavat.
History of Triyuginarayan Temple
Mother Parvati pleased Lord Shiva for marriage by performing rigorous penance and Lord Shiva accepted the proposal of Mother Parvati. It is believed that the marriage of Shiva and Parvati took place in this temple. Lord Vishnu performed the duty of being the brother of Mother Parvati and got her married. Brahma ji was the priest in this marriage. The marriage of Shiva and Parvati took place around the fire pit in front of this temple. The flame continues to burn in that fire pit even today. This flame is considered a symbol of Shiva-Parvati marriage, hence this temple is also called Akhand Dhuni Temple. There are also three ponds near the temple. Brahma Kund:- In this Kund, Lord Brahma had taken a bath before the marriage, and after taking a bath, he appeared for the marriage. Vishnukund:- Before marriage, Lord Vishnu had taken a bath in this pond. Rudrakund:- All the gods and goddesses present at the wedding took a bath in this pond.

In the marriage of Shiva-Parvati, Lord Brahmaji acted as the priest and performed the marriage rites of Shiva-Parvati. In this temple, you can see the place where Shiva-Parvati had taken the seat during the rounds.
Akhand Dhuni Temple
Devotees who go here put dry wood in this unbroken fire and take some ash from the fire as Prasad. Therefore this temple is also called Akhand Dhuni Temple of Uttarakhand. After visiting the temple, the devotees also proceed to visit Gauri Kund which is situated at a distance of about 5 kilometers from here.
