According to media reports, Central Railways is planning to install panic buttons at many stations connected to its network. A total of 117 railway stations have been selected for installation of panic switch buttons.

Panic button is a special type of safety device. It is used in emergency situations. In case of crisis, passengers will be able to alert the Railway Protection Force (RPF) by using the panic button.

With the help of panic button, passengers will be able to seek help from RPF personnel in times of trouble. As soon as you press the switch on the panic button. After that an alert will directly reach the RPF control room.

In such a situation, after receiving the alert, the passengers will be identified and help will be provided to them immediately. It is expected that the work of installing panic buttons at railway stations will be completed within a year.
