With this, after the Mahakaal of Ujjain, the construction of Ekatm Dham in Omkareshwar has started.

Along with the 108 feet high 'Statue of Unity', a museum named 'Advaita Lok' and Acharya Shankar International Advaita Vedanta Institute is also being established. In this multi-metal statue, Adi Shankaracharya will be seen in child form. Now along with the darshan of Omkareshwar Jyotirling, one will also get to see the glimpse of the 12 year old childhood of Adi Shankaracharya, the 'Statue of Oneness' i.e. the symbol of unity. Where is Omkareshwar located?
Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is located in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. The temple is a beautiful place situated on Mandhata Island in the Narmada River. It is believed that the Linga established in Omkareshwar is not a Linga carved or carved by any human being but is a natural Shivlinga. This Shivalinga is always filled with water from all sides. Omkareshwar temple is on the right bank of the Narmada in East Nimar (Khandwa) district, while Mamleshwar is on the left bank.

Story of Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga
Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga was established after the worship of Lord Shiva of Vindhya Mountain. Vindhyachal made a mortal remains of Shiva and performed penance for six months. On this, Lord Shiva gave his divine darshan to Vindhya and blessed him with the desired intelligence for the accomplishment of the work. During this time, all the gods and sages praised Lord Shiva and requested him to reside there. Lord Shiva was pleased and accepted the words of the sages and gods. Omkar Linga got divided into two forms there. One is known as Omkar, and the light that was established in the earthly idol came to be known as Parameshwara Linga. Parmeshwar Linga is also called Amaleshwar.

If you are traveling by air then Indore airport is 77 kilometers away from Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga. From here one can reach the temple via bus and taxi. Apart from this, Ujjain airport is also at a distance of 133 km. If you are going to Ujjain, then Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga can also be visited during the journey.

If you want to visit Jyotirlinga by train, then the nearest to Omkareshwar is Omkareshwar Road railway station located on Ratlam-Indore-Khandwa line, which is located just 12 kilometers from the temple. You can also go to Omkareshwar by road. State Transport Corporation buses will easily reach Omkareshwar.
