Darbar is held at 2 o'clock
There is a queue of people coming here to get rid of ghosts and other obstacles. There is a statue of Pretraj Sarkar and Bhairav Baba i.e. Kotwal Captain in this temple. Every day at 2 o'clock, there is a Peshi i.e. Kirtan in the court of Pretraj Sarkar, in which the evil shadows on people are removed.
There is a hole in the left chest
Mehandipur Balaji has a small hole in his left chest from which water keeps flowing continuously. It is said that this is the sweat of Balaji. Here, Balaji is offered laddu, Pretraj rice, and Bhairon urad prasad. It is said that those who have ghost powers start doing strange things after eating this prasad.
The Mahant saw God in his dream
It is believed that the old Mahant of the temple had a dream one day. He saw three deities in his dream. The Mahant considered it a sign of building Balaji's temple. After that, the worship of Lord Hanuman was started at this place. Then the three deities Balaji Maharaj, Shri Pretraj Sarkar, and Shri Kotwal were installed in the temple.
Different structures of the temple
It is said that this temple is completely different from the common temples. Here, instead of the temple bell, the screams of the people are heard. The structure of the temple is different in itself. There are four halls built here. The first two have the idols of Hanuman Ji and Bhairav Ji. While in the last hall, many women and men are haunted by ghosts.
Devotees follow this rule
Right in front of the idol of Mehandipur Balaji, there is an idol of Lord Ram-Sita, which he always visits. Here Hanumanji is present in child form. The rule for all the pilgrims coming here is that they should stop consuming garlic, onion, egg, meat, and alcohol for at least one week.
Prasad cannot be taken home
You cannot eat any kind of prasad from Mehandipur Balaji temple nor can you give it to anyone. You cannot take the prasad from her home. You cannot even take any eatable or fragrant thing from here to home. It is said that if you do this, evil spirit comes upon you.
There are 2 categories of Prasad
In Mehandipur Balaji, the Prasad offered is different from other temples. There are 2 categories of Prasad here, one is Darkhavast and the other is Arji. Darkhavast is also called Hajri in Balaji. Hajri Prasad has to be bought twice and in Arji, Prasad is available in 3 plates. After offering Darkhavast once in the temple, one has to leave from there immediately. Arji Prasad is taken while returning, which has to be thrown behind oneself. The rule is that one should not look back while throwing the Prasad.
How to reach the temple
It is not at all difficult to reach this temple. If you want to come here by train, then Dausa is well connected by rail from every place. The nearest station to Mehandipur Balaji temple is Dausa itself. If you want to travel by air, then the nearest airport from here is Jaipur, which is just 33 km away from here. Cabs are easily available to cover this distance. While Agra airport is also not very far from here. You can also start your journey from Kheria Airport in Agra, which is 133 km away. Apart from this, if you want to come here by road, then you will have to come here via Jaipur. This city is 55 km from here. Rajasthan State Transport buses will also take you here comfortably. Regular buses also run from Agra and Delhi to here.
