Elephant Head Point
If you want to spend some relaxing moments in Mahabaleshwar Hill Station then Elephant Head Point is the best place. Rock formations exist at the site that form the trunk of an elephant. It is one of the most visited and famous attractions of Mahabaleshwar. Elephant Point got its name during the British Raj and the Governor of Bombay at that time was Sir Mount Elstinton. It is believed to have been founded in 1930 by Dr. Murray, who also owns an old mansion. Today only the ruins of this hotel exist, in its place a picnic shed for tourists is being constructed by the local authorities.
Babbington Point
