Balsamand Lake is an artificial lake located just 5 kilometers from the central city of Jodhpur. This lake was built by the Gurjara-Pratihara rulers in 1159 AD. Maharaja Sur Singh, who was the builder of this artificial lake, was honored with the title of Sawai Raja for his impeccable services. Castle of glass
The Sheesh Mahal in Jodhpur's Mehrangarh Fort, popularly known as the Glass Palace of Jodhpur, is a wonderful piece of historical architecture decorated with intricately designed glass from ceiling to floor. It is said to be the bedroom of Maharaja Ajit Singh between the 17th and 18th centuries.
