Yes, there are many flights available from Amritsar to Kullu and Shimla, and quite cheap too, making your travel more convenient. Let us know in detail about this initiative taken by Himachal Pradesh to make travel to Kullu and Shimla even more accessible.

Flights from Amritsar to Kullu and Shimla:

The first flight from Amritsar to Kullu is scheduled to start on October 1, 2023. These flights will be available to passengers only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Time of flight:

The first flight of the day will depart from Kullu at 8:25 a.m., and will reach Amritsar at 9:30 a.m. For the return journey, the flight will depart from Amritsar at 10:00 AM and reach Kullu at 11:05 PM.

Flight Fare:

The airfare for a trip from Kullu to Amritsar is around Rs 2,637, while the return fare from Amritsar to Kullu is around Rs 3,284.

Flights from Amritsar to Shimla start from November:

If you are planning to travel from Amritsar to Shimla, you will have to wait till November 1, 2023, as flights for this route are scheduled to start from that date. These flights will be available three days a week.

How to reach Shimla:

You can reach Shimla through the following modes of transport:

By Air: You can travel by air from Delhi to Shimla. Shimla Jubbarhatti Airport is located about 23 kilometers from the city center. Taxis are easily available at the airport for the convenience of passengers.

By Train: If you are planning to travel from Shimla to Delhi by train, you can take the narrow gauge railway line from Shimla to Kalka (96 km). From there you can board a toy train, which travels through picturesque meadows and 107 tunnels. This scenic journey takes approximately six hours.

By Road: There are regular bus services between Shimla and Delhi through Himachal Road Transport Corporation. You can take an AC luxury bus from ISBT Kashmiri Gate in Delhi to Shimla, which is a night journey of about nine hours.
