On Saturday, the officials of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha offered Gangajal over the basement located in the main mausoleum. After this, on Monday, the District President of the Women's Assembly of the Mahasabha, Meera Rathore also offered Gangajal. Given these incidents, the Taj Mahal administration has taken this strict step.

Bottles banned above Jasmine's floor

From now on, tourists and guides are not allowed to carry water bottles on the stairs leading to the main mausoleum from the Jasmine floor. Bottles will now be kept before reaching the stairs. This may cause some trouble to the tourists, but this step is necessary from the security point of view. Superintendent Archaeologist Dr. Rajkumar Patel said that tourists will not be allowed to face any kind of trouble at the main mausoleum. Small water bottles have been provided to the staff deployed there, which tourists can take if they feel the need.

What cannot be taken inside the Taj Mahal?

* Weapons and ammunition: All types of weapons, ammunition, explosive materials, and their replicas are prohibited.

* Smoking materials: Matches, lighters, cigarettes, and all types of tobacco products are prohibited.

* Sharp objects: Scissors, knives, and other sharp items are not allowed.

* Liquids: Bringing alcohol, banned drugs, and liquids in tetra packs is prohibited.

* Religious material: Prasad, garlands, and other religious material cannot be taken inside.

* Technology items: Laptops and all types of camera stands are prohibited.

* Reading material: Reading, writing, and painting material is also prohibited.

* Advertising Material: Toys, cards, and other advertising material are not allowed.

* Professional equipment: Torches, professional video cameras, PA systems, and large bags are not allowed.

* Photos and CDs: Hard copies of photos and CDs are also prohibited.
