The world famous Jagannath Rath Yatra is starting from 7th July 2024. The Rath Yatra starts from the Jagannath temple located in Puri, Odisha, in in which lakhs of devotees participate. Tourists from all over the country are reaching Odisha to participate in the Rath Yatra. During this time there is a lot of crowd around the Jagannath Puri temple. Travelers who are reaching Odisha from faraway places to participate in the Rath Yatra should not limit this journey to only the Jagannath temple. There are many famous temples in and around Bhubaneswar, which you can also visit.

Lingaraj Temple, Bhubaneswar
Lingaraj Temple is located in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. Lingaraj Temple is a supporting Shiva temple of the Jagannath Temple in Puri. It is believed that devotees coming to visit the Jagannath Temple complete their journey by visiting the Lingaraj Temple. In this temple, Lord Shiva is seated in Harihar form, that is, Shiva and Vishnu are seated in a combined form. Lingaraj Temple is built in Kalinga and Deula style. The temple is divided into four parts, which include Garbha Griha, Yagya Shala, Bhog Mandap and Natya Shala. Along with this, a small temple dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati is built in the courtyard of the temple.

Mukteshwar Temple, Bhubaneswar
Mukteshwar Temple, built in the 10th century, is located in Bhubaneswar. The temple is an excellent example of Kalinga style. The idols of deities are installed on the top of this temple, which shows Buddhist influence. One special thing about the temple is that the arches and arches tied here are made of women's jewelry and other intricate ornaments.

Sun Temple, Konark
One of the most attractive destinations in Odisha is Konark. The Sun Temple located in Konark is considered one of the seven wonders of India. Also, UNESCO has included the Sun Temple Konark in the list of World Heritage Sites. People come here from far and wide to see the carvings of the temple. Lord Suryanarayana is seated in the temple. There are 12 chariot wheels around the temple, which are being pulled by seven horses. Sun God is seated in this chariot. The temple was built in the 13th century.

Rajrani Temple, Bhubaneswar
There is also a Rajrani temple in the capital Bhubaneswar. This temple is also known as Prem Mandir. The carvings of the temple are full of erotic couples. Apart from this, there are also sculptures depicting the marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati in the temple. However, there is no picture in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. It is believed that this temple was also built when the Jagannath temple was built.
