If you cancel your confirmed ticket 48 hours before the departure of the train. In such a situation, a cancellation charge of Rs 240 per passenger will be deducted on confirmed tickets of AC First Class and Executive Class.

Whereas if your ticket is in second AC. In such a situation, if you cancel your ticket, a cancellation charge of Rs 200 per person will be deducted. Apart from this, if you had booked your ticket in Third AC Chair or Third AC Economy and you are canceling it. In this situation, your cancellation charge of Rs 180 will be deducted.

If your ticket is in sleeper class. In this situation, if you cancel your ticket, Indian Railways will charge you a cancellation charge of Rs 120. Whereas in second class, cancellation charge has been fixed at Rs 60.

Apart from all this, if you cancel the train ticket less than 48 hours and 12 hours before the departure of the train. In such a situation, 25 percent of the ticket amount is charged as cancellation charge.
