Temple History and Carvings
This temple was built by the Kalachuri rulers between the 7th and 8th centuries. The temple is made of red-black sandstone. Many beautiful figures are made on the pillars of the temple. Because Shilpi Narayan used to build the temple naked, seeing his sister, he felt ashamed and committed suicide by jumping from the peak of the temple. For this reason, brothers and sisters cannot enter the temple. Apart from this, the temple is famous for its architecture. Brothers and sisters feel uncomfortable coming together here because of the idols of masturbation engraved on the main walls.
