Doctors and treatment facilities in the train
If a passenger falls ill while traveling in trains with a reservation facility, then medicines are provided to him free of cost by the Railways. TTE has medicine on the train. Some trains have doctors who treat people who fall ill. Trains in which there is no doctor facility. Railways provide him the facility of a doctor at the next and bigger station. No fee is charged from the passenger for this. The doctor's facility is free.

Free waiting room facility
Most of the people traveling by train sit on the platform and wait for the train, but do you know that the passengers waiting for the train at the railway station get the facility of the free waiting room? If you have a valid ticket then you can avail this benefit without spending any money. After purchasing a valid ticket, you can use the waiting room for free during the day, 2 hours before the arrival of the train and 2 hours after the end of the journey. At the same time, its time during night time is 6 hours. Apart from this, in case of a train delay, you can use the waiting room until your train arrives.

The ticket can be transferred to another family member
If a person has booked his ticket and his ticket is confirmed but he is unable to travel. So he can transfer his ticket in the name of any family member. The condition is that the person in whose name the ticket is to be transferred should belong to the family of the person booking the ticket. Ticket transfer can be done 24 hours before the train journey, not after. A person unable to travel can transfer his ticket to his mother, father, brother, sister, daughter, wife, and children. For this, he has to go to his nearest railway station and give his identity card along with the ticket.

Free Wi-Fi on platform
Indian Railways provides free Wi-Fi facilities to its passengers and any passenger can use free internet on the platform for half an hour without spending any money. After using the free internet service for half an hour, passengers can choose the plan of their choice from RailTel. On the platform, 5 GB data is available for Rs 10, and 10 GB data is available for Rs 15, whose validity is one day, and a speed of 34 MBPS is available. Apart from this, 10 GB of data is available for 5 days for Rs 20. This facility is available at most stations in the country.

Cloakroom facility
Indian Railways provides cloakroom facilities to passengers at a nominal cost. If you have a valid ticket then you can avail of this facility and keep bags, travel bags, etc. in the cloakroom. For the cloak room, a charge of Rs 15 has to be paid for the first 24 hours and passengers can avail of the accommodation at Rs 10 per unit. After this, for the next 24 hours, you will have to pay Rs 20 and Rs 12 per unit. If you keep your luggage for more than 2 days, you will have to pay Rs 25 per day for the cloakroom and Rs 15 per day for each item.

Very cheap insurance
Indian Railways also provides the facility of insurance to passengers purchasing tickets, although a nominal fee has to be paid for it. While booking tickets, you can also take insurance for your journey by paying 49 paise. Under this, a compensation of Rs 10 lakh is given in case of death or disability due to an accident during the journey. Whereas, compensation up to Rs 7.5 lakh for partial disability and free treatment up to Rs 2 lakh for hospitalization is available.

Ticket upgrade facility
Railways provide the facility to upgrade tickets while booking a train. That is, if there is availability of seats, the ticket of a sleeper passenger can be upgraded to Third AC, Third AC ticket can be upgraded to Second AC and Second AC ticket can be upgraded to First AC ticket. The option of a ticket upgrade comes at the time of booking the ticket. There is no charge for choosing this. If you have chosen the option of ticket upgrade, your ticket doesn't need to be upgraded.
