It cannot be a matter of rain and Cherrapunji's name does not come up. India is fortunate that Cherrapunji, the region with the highest rainfall in the world, is situated on its land. Cherrapunji, famous as the capital of rain, is situated at an altitude of about 1300 meters above sea level, which is 60 kilometers from Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. Cherrapunji is also known as Sohra. The average rainfall here is 10,000 mm. Tourists from far and wide come here during the rainy season.

#Jogigundi falls
Compared to other small waterfalls in India, water can be seen throughout the year at Jogigundi Falls. Most of the waterfalls are visited during the monsoons but you can come here any time, here you will find the water full every month. Because it rains throughout the year here. This waterfall is called Jogi because a saint once meditated here for many years. A unique feature of this waterfall is that the water here comes out of the cave, hence it is also called a cave waterfall. Here the water falls smoothly downwards which forms a pond below. Tourists like to come here and take bath. If you wish, you can take a bath in this pond. The view around the waterfall is very beautiful.

# Agumbe Rainforest Research Station
The Agumbe Rainforest Research Station in Cherrapunji is also a place worth visiting. This place is located at an altitude of 560 meters above sea level, which is mainly established to preserve the southern rainforests. Agumbe Research Station Located inside the rainforest, it is counted among the famous research institutes of India. The rainforests here work to provide safe shelter to innumerable animals. This rainforest is also famous for the king cobra. In the last few years, this research station has saved more than 100 king cobras. The Agumbe Rainforest Research Station, located in the Malnad-Kodagu region, is home to several sanctuaries, including the Sharavathi, Mookambika, Someshwar, and Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuaries.

#Koodlu Theertha Falls
This place is suitable for peace-loving people. At a height of 300 feet, Kudlu Theertha Falls is counted among the magnificent waterfalls of Karnataka. Where its waterfalls are below, a pond has been built there. People believe that this pond was used by sages for meditation and penance. Not only the beauty of the waterfall remains here, but the surrounding area is also full of peace and beauty. Tourists coming to Karnataka like this place a lot. This waterfall is also called Sita Falls because the source of its water is the Sita river here. Bathing is allowed here, but you should not take a place at a place where water directly falls from top to bottom, doing so can cause a severe head injury.

# Onke Abbi Falls
