He found the huge rocks, steep walls, tall deodar trees and the panoramic view of Bhagirathi very attractive. Apart from this, the famous mountaineer Heinrich Harrier reached Tibet from Bhairon Valley along the banks of Jahvi. Where he became the teacher of Dalai Lama.

How to reach Bhairon Valley

To reach Bhairon Valley, one has to reach Uttarkashi. From there you can reach Bhairon Valley with the help of local vehicles. To go by road, one can easily reach Uttarkashi from the Dehradun bus stand. To go by rail, one can easily reach Dehradun station from any part of the country. To go by air, one has to reach Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun. The distance between Dehradun and Uttarkashi is about 188 kilometers.
